Transportation: Parking is limited and expensive; it is available in lots at 28, 60 & 75 State Street. Validation will not be available. We encourage guests to take the T - the nearest stops are State Street on the Orange and Blue Lines, and Government Center on the Green and Blue Lines.
With special guests Dave Eggers, co-founder of 826 Valencia and author of What is the What, Steve Almond, author of (Not That You Asked), and Julia Glass, National Book Award winner and author of I See You Everywhere, and hosted by Janis Pryor, producer and host of Commonwealth Journal.
The evening will feature engaging author conversations and student readings, lively music, great food and wine, and spectacular views of Boston Harbor. It will also serve as the launch of 2% of 2% of All the World's Stories, a 170-page book of bedtime stories written by participants in 826 Boston's after-school writing and tutoring program.
This is a free event; however, a donation at the door is suggested. All proceeds will support 826 Boston's free writing programs for students ages 6 to 18.
Copies of 2% of 2% of All the World's Stories will be available for sale at 826 Boston, 3035 Washington St., Roxbury, MA, 02119 after May 19.
General RSVPs are now closed, however, reserved seats are still available at $150 per seat.
