I Wish They Would Have Asked Me Publication Party
Join us in celebration of over a year of collaborative efforts between 826 Boston and the students, teachers, and administrators of The English High School as we release our first publication, a 180-page anthology of essays, poems, short stories, and letters written by 11th and 12th grade students.
The book, I Wish They Would Have Asked Me, covers themes of education, immigration, violence, family, and personal stories of change, struggle, and perseverance.
On Thursday, June 5, 2008, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., please join us at The English High School, 144 McBride Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
Take the opportunity to meet these inspiring young writers, listen to excerpts from the collection, purchase a limited-edition copy of the book, enjoy complimentary refreshments, and find out more about 826 Boston’s free writing programs. This event is free-of-charge and open to the public.
