826 Boston offers free after-school tutoring Mondays-Thursdays of each week. Students may receive help in any subject during one of two sessions: from 3:00-4:30 or 4:30-6:00 pm. Tutoring takes place every week throughout the school year, except on Boston Public School holidays. Families must submit an application to enroll students in the tutoring program. This July, students ages 8-12 (entering 3rd-7th grades) can join us for 826 Boston’s fourth annual summer science and writing camp. Students will strengthen scientific inquiry, literacy, and critical thinking skills. Projects will include engineering, construction, writing and publishing.

Students will have the chance to work individually and in groups on lessons taught by professionals like lab scientists, engineers, writers, and architects and camp participants will travel on four field trips during the month of July. Past field trip destinations include the MIT Museum, the Civil Engineering Lab at Northeastern, and the Franklin Park Zoo!
