Bio: Raquel Kaplan, Volunteer Coordinator
Raquel Kaplan graduated from Northeastern University in May 2011. She was a double major in international affairs and languages, literatures and cultures with a concentration in Spanish. Raquel volunteered with 826 Boston during undergrad as an after-school tutor through an Advanced Spanish service-learning class. She loved her time at the center so much that she applied for a full time position after graduation. She completed her first year of service with 826 Boston through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. She is now in her second year of service with AmeriCorps New Sector and their Residency In Social Enterprise program. Her hobbies include reading, exploring the North End, Vinyasa yoga, skiing and daydreaming about the Loch Ness monster.
