Bio: Maya Shugart

826 Boston Volunteer Coordinator Maya Shugart was born and raised in Denver, CO where she spent time Flamenco and Folklorico dancing. She relocated to Boston for school and graduated in May 2009 from Emerson College with a BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing and a minor in Photography. At Emerson, Maya worked on a school publication as a staff photographer and photo editor. The cold weather of Boston drives her crazy but she remains sane with the help of peppermint hot chocolate.
